What does your typical day look like?
I wake up, make myself a strong black coffee and switch my computer on. I then let the dog out and then jump on my gym bike and do between20 and 40 mins (depending on what training phase I am in) of fasted cardio. I scroll through my phone and check if any e-mails have come through or if any WhatsApp’s need replying to. By the time I’m finished the children are up and almost ready for school. I make/pour/whizz breakfast, which can vary from scrambled eggs on toast to a full on oaty fruit smoothie, depending on time. We drive to school.
When I get back, I grab my 2-litre bottle of water and sit down to work, which obviously takes up the entire day - working with customers, following up on mails, driving new business and finding new opportunities and contacts. I update myTwitter profile and keep on top of content as and when I can.
At the end of the working day, I get the children then nip to the gym. Food is king and I love cooking so I relax doing that. I find the kitchen and food is where the heart is. Once it’s down time, I perhaps do a little more work or go on my Twitter before the children go to bed - the rest of the time is mine. I like to read and am all about self-development, so sometimes I might watch a live or listen to a podcast, and I sometimes journal and reflect on the day. Then I go to bed around 11PM ready for the next day!
What’s your earliest memory of gaming?
I think I would have been around 9 when the Sonic the Hedgehog handheld console came out that looked like a miniature arcade machine -it was bright red, if I remember correctly. I recall my first ever experience with it, with my cousins, in a ski chalet just days after Christmas. I remember specifically that I was terrible at playing it!
What’s your favourite game of all time?
I love Tekken!
What game reminds you of your childhood?
Sonic The Hedgehog and Pac-Man, of course!
What game is your happy place?
Star Fox Adventures – the game I worked on back in 2002.
If you could make any game, what game would it be?
Well, I am fortunate enough to be working on exactly that right now! It will all come to light in time…
What’s your must-have gaming accessory?
And finally – PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo?
