The final month of 2022 is finally here and after a packed couple months of game releases with the likes of God Of War Ragnarok and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, December is set to be just as exciting. With a next gen game easily costing a harsh £70 these days there's no better time to make sure you're on that nice list and nab yourself a new game from Santa. It just leaves the burning question of which game do you go for? We've done the research for you and listed all the biggest game releases for December 2022.

The Callisto Protocol - 2nd December

Possibly the most anticipated game on this list "The Callisto Protocol" is a survival horror game where, after being thrown in into prison without charges or trial after your mission for the United Jupiter Company was interrupted by the Outer Way, a terrorist group responsible for multiple attacks on civilians, you have to try to escape a prison that's become overrun with "the infected"

Need For Speed Unbound - 2nd December (RELEASED EARLY IN NOVEMBER)

Originally stated to have a December release date EA decided to drop this game a few days early so this December release was technically a November release.

Marvel's Midnight Suns - 2nd December

Everybody's favourite super hero franchise is back but with a twist. "Marvel's Midnight Suns is set in the darker, supernatural side of the Marvel Universe" with playable characters including fan favourites like Iron Man, Captain America and Wolverine.

A new DLC pack is coming to the Two Point Academy Universe and this time we're off to space!

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Wave Three (Booster Course Pass) - 7th December

Everybody's favourite plumber and co are back with another expansion to Mario Kart 8 to add some more maps to the game - time to compete with your friends to see who's the real Mario Kart champion.

Crisis Core – Final Fantasy 7 – Reunion - 13th December

Enjoy updated graphics, combat systems and soundtrack with this remaster of Crisis Core asyou try to discover the secrets of Shinra's dark experiements.

High On Life - 13th December

From the creator of Rick and Morty, because of course it would be them who come up with this kind of game, High On Life is a game where Aliens have invaded Earth and wants to use humans as drugs, oh and you're partnered with "charismatic, talking guns" in order to take down Garmantuous and his gang... Right.

The Witcher 3 (Next Gen Upgrade) - 14th December

The hugely successful franchise of The Witcher 3 is getting a facelift and overhaul this month, the influence of the hit Netflix show will show through with a new quest based on the show and new optional appearances for Dandelion and the Nilfgaardian soldiers as well as higher resolutions on textures, improved character models and a 30fps 'Quality' mode and 60fps 'Performance Mode'

Aka - 15th December

There's a lot of horror and high intensity games on the list this month, if they're not your vibe then Aka may be more for you. Their description says it all really;

"Find inner peace in a small, open-world game. On these carefully handcrafted islands, you can take a nap on a giant monster, feed baby dragons, take care of the fauna and flora... ...but demons from your past might come back to remind you what you want to forget."
