Coming Up: February 2023 Game Releases

February is set to be a big month for games with highly anticipated titles such as Hogwarts Legacy and Sons of the Forest finally being released after multiple delays, and the release of Sony's PSVR2 playing host to games such as Horizon Call of the Mountain and Resident Evil

Deliver Us Mars - PS4, PS5, XB1, XSX/S, PC - 2nd February

First up on our list for game releases this month is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 game Deliver Us The Moon. In keeping with its predecessor in Deliver Us Mars you play as an astronaut on a mission to save Earth from imminent extinction but this time you're part of a team who's mission is to recover the ARK colony ships which had been stolen by the mysterious Outward.

Hogwarts Legacy - PS5, XSX/S, PC - 10th February

You'll be hard pressed to find somebody who's never heard of Hogwarts or the Harry Potter universe so back in 2018 when footage of a possible wizarding world RPG was leaked it was met with equal parts excitement and also speculation. Almost 5 years later, and after a number of delays, Hogwarts Legacy is coming to PS5, Series X and PC this February, with other platforms set to follow in the months to come.

Horizon Call of the Mountain - PSVR2 -22nd February

With two successful games under its belt it's no surprise Sony picked the post-apocalyptic world of Horizon to be the backdrop for its flagship game of the PSVR2 - you play as Ryas, a disgraced former soldier, as the story unfolds with you trying to solve a new mystery surrounding the machines. It wouldn't be Horizon without the occasional visit from Aloy and other recognisable characters along the way.

Digimon World: Next Order -Switch, PC - 22nd February

Battle against the Machinedramon in a bid to restore the Digital World with help from Digimon companions along the way. With over 200 Digimon to collect and a customisable town that you can expand and manage to your own liking with building upgrades and crops to grow, Digimon World: Next Order is a must have game for the Switch, ideal for those long journeys this summer.

Resident Evil Village -PSVR2 - 22nd February

Sony is treating fans of the Resident Evil franchise this February with the VR mode of Resident Evil Village coming as a free DLC update with the PSVR2 (Resident Evil Village or Resident Evil Village Gold Edition is required to play this DLC) so now you're one step closer to living out your dreams of Lady Dimitrescu actually (sort of) stepping on you.

Sons of the Forest - PC - 23rd February

From the makers of the terrifying game "The Forest" comes the equally as grim "Sons of the Forest". Play alone or with friends as you try to find a missing billionaire on a remote island, instead to be confronted with a "cannibal-infested hellscape" and be plunged into a struggle to survive. Play to survive however you want with 0 NPC expositional missions so whether you want to build a base and thrive or go straight in for the action and fight - whatever floats your boat. Be careful though, the "mutated creatures" you'll encounter on the island are almost human like, some of them at least.

Destiny 2: Lightfall -PS4, PS5, XB1, XSX/S, PC -28th February

"The end of all things approaches -The Witness is here." In Destiny 2: Lightfall it's down to you and your fellow Guardians to liberate the Neptunian city that's under siege but this neon metropolis is unlike any you've explored before. Destiny 2: Lightfall introduces the ability to harness darkness and "pluck at the threads of reality" with every class being able to tap into this new feature, but how effective it is comes down to you as you meet the Cloud Striders and join the battle against the Shadow Legion.
