Our favourite Switch games to play ‘on the go’ this summer

Written by

It’s finally summer and with the restrictions lifted we can finally get away for a much needed (UK) break. However, a UK break usually requires a long car journeys to get to your destination. We have pulled together our favourite ‘on the go’ switch games to play this summer.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

A personal favourite of ours, Animal Crossing allows you to create your own island paradise.  Upgrade your home, scout out your islanders and build your island from the ground up in real time. This is the perfect game to dip in and play a little bit of every day.

Tetris 99

A true classic which says what it is on the tin, Tetris is a great game to pass the time whilst you’re travelling this summer.

Instant Sports Summer Games

This game takes us back in time, reminding us of the good old Nintendo Wii days. It’s also timely with Olympics so it’s a win win!

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Would we really be worthy of an opinion without including the classic, Mario Kart? This game never gets old, and you can also play multiplayer and beat your pals.

Pokémon Sword and Shield

Who doesn’t love a classic like Pokémon? With a combination of Pokémon, old and new, and a pretty extensive story line to go along with it it’s sure to keep those long car journeys at least slightly entertaining.
