The trailer for the latest community voted stuff pack, Sims 4 Nifty Knitting, is here! My inner Grandma cannot wait. Take a look at the trailer below, we've cherry picked our favourite bits as well!By far the best part of this pack is that it was created by the Sims 4 Community. Back in November players could vote on polls to pick and choose what pack we wanted. With each new poll the pack was sculpted into what it is. This included everything ranging from the topic, the items, the name of the pack and even the pack icon.
New Items
We got to see a lot of the new items in a blink and you'll miss it collage. The new items include furniture, toys, plants and decor items. Some of these items can be crafted, like the toys and clothing. Others can be purchased directly from the build and buy catalogue.
Knitting
Obviously it goes without saying that knitting is the new skill for this game pack. This skill isn't just for your elder Sims though. In the trailer we see an adult creating the knitted items, along with him teaching a child how to knit. This is a great addition to the pack for those who play families in the Sims, seeing as in the past children always seem to be forgotten about. It's finally something to enhance your game play when it comes to elders too, as let's face it the Sims 4 is essentially becoming a bit of a Millennial simulator.
Plopsy
Whilst it's not the name I would have gone for Plopsy is a welcome addition to the Sims 4 for those of you who want your Sim to earn some extra Simoleons without having to go to work (or use cheats)Plopsy is the Sims take on Etsy where you can sell any crafted item in the game, making it the perfect companion for Eco Lifestyle. Even if you don't have Eco Lifestyle items such as paintings, woodworking creations and even flower arrangements can be sold on Plopsy along with your knitted masterpieces (or failures if you have a low skill)SIMS 4 ECO LIFESTYLE: 10 FEATURES WE CAN'T WAIT TO TRY
Elders and Rocking Chairs
Something which was shown right at the end of the Sims 4 Nifty Knitting trailer was elders relaxing in their rocking chairs. Whilst the rocking chairs are great to have - even with the odd way that the legs look - the main part was the thought bubble above the Elder Sim. It looks like memories may be making a come back in the Sims as you can see the Elder reminiscing. To some Simmers this is just another feature, if like me you enjoy the building most. However those who thrive on creating story lines and life like gaming this is sure to be a welcome addition.
So what do you guys think? Did you vote for this pack? I for one am looking forward to adding this to my never ending list of packs!Check out our previous post - Sims 4 Spark'd - What You Need To Know
