Here at Venom we probably don't give phone-based gaming enough credit. From Pokémon Go to PUBG, the processing power of smartphones means we're able to enjoy an enormous range of high-quality gaming content on the go. Here are some of the best mobile games we've played in the last few months!

Minecraft

If you’re into Minecraft, or you’re a parent of someone who is, then this is the mobile game for you. Functionality is great, with creative and survival modes as well as multi-player fully supported. Read more about it here.

PUBG

Battle Royale games remain popular, so it makes sense that Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds has become a favourite in the mobile community too. Even on a mid-range smartphone, PUBG looks great and performs well. Read more about PUBG for mobile here.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

It’s probably our favourite instalment in the GTA franchise, so when San Andreas it the app store, we had to play it. The graphics have been upgraded and the controls are easy and accessible. Get it here.

Pokémon Go

Although the initial Pokémon Go craze has somewhat died down and you’ll no longer spot gangs of grown adults congregating around key map locations to battle it out, this hit game still remains tonnes of fun. Read our post about weird and wonderful Pokémon here.

Lego Jurassic World

The Room

Realistic graphics, challenging puzzles and a generally creepy atmosphere have earned The Room a gaming BAFTA.
